After centuries of relative peace, at the end of the nineteenth century (1870) the speed of communication between people increased enormously. First came the steamship, later the steam train, the telegraph, the paving and lighting of roads, the telephone traffic and the speed of newspaper news improved. Then Marconi comes up with wireless communication. First for the telegraph and later, at the beginning of the twentieth century, also for the spoken word and for music.
